Creative Critical Reflection

 Below is my CCR.

Hotel California

This project is now the third time my group has worked together. Having worked on almost the same type of project previously, my group was well equipped to have taken this project on. It was rough at first, but after the research phase we were able to really brainstorm and formulate plans.  Though we didn't have the ability to use high quality equipment, we are proud of what we were able to complete with the tools we had at our disposal. My group has also grown to work better with each other.  Even though there hadn't been any worries in regard to our ability to work together, it has only gotten smoother over the course of our projects and classes. During this project my group tackled filming outside of school for the first time together. It took us more time to put our film together this time but the size of this film is more than double the size of our previous projects film. My group is far from professional level, but we can see the gradual  improvements in our collective a

Today my group was going to add the finishing touches to our Music Video. We had to still mess with the visual effects and the run time. Unfortunately, when we went to work on it today we found out that it didn't save the last part of what we did yesterday. Around twenty seconds of our film was gone at this point and the soundtrack didn't match the video properly. We had to fix the music part and the last two scenes. We reinserted the clips and started to fit it in properly. We tried to make it like it was before but we have no idea what that was entirely like. We then put in the music and started working on it. We planned on using the song from 00:44-01:56. My partner was working on the placement once we got the intervals cut out. It was tricky to get the music to play at the same time but we got it eventually. Our film used two separate timelines. Each timeline was at a different location. One timeline was the bridge and the other was the railroad. We wanted to make it infer

Half and Half

Today we started editing because we were able to finish filming yesterday. We filmed all of the clips on my partner's phone. Luckily, he still had storage. We were doing all of the editing on my phone. We decided to use iMovie since we learned how to use it in a past project. It took a while, but my partner was able to send me all of the videos we filmed, the Wi-Fi at school isn't very strong so we almost had to do it at a later time. After I received all of our videos we decided to sort them. In hindsight we probably should have done this on my phone but we did it on my partners phone. This process took a long time since we had no way to differentiate the videos except for the amount of seconds each video had. We needed to use most of the clips we had filmed, because of this narrowing down the videos was mostly trial and error. Most of our clips occurred directly after the one before which unfortunately messed with the amount of time our video had, but we weren't at the sh

Rail Road Shots

Today was my group's last day of filming. We filmed our rail road track shots today. The rail road track shots covered the scenes my group didn't do on the first filming day. The rail road tracks my group went to are directly next to my neighborhood. They are on the opposite side of my neighborhood than the bridge. We started filming the scenes after driving to my neighborhood after school. It took us around 20 minutes to get to my neighborhood and around 10 minutes to get to the train tracks. After arriving at the location we planned out what we had to do to film. We didn't have any problems getting to the location but we had to cross a busy road which took some time before we could cross. there were some people working on a building across the tracks from us so we had to move farther down the way. We also moved away from the tracks to be safe. We had to check either direction a lot of times to make sure there were no trains so we knew when to get farther away. We weren

Bridge Shots

My group decided to do two days of filming. Today, we filmed our bridge shots. The bridge shots covered scenes 4, 6, 7, 9, 11, and 12. The bridge was on the far side of my neighborhood. I was the actor for this project and my partner was the camera man. My partner filmed the shots with his phone. We went to my neighborhood directly after school. It took us about 20 minutes to get there and 15 or so minutes to walk to the bridge. Once we were there, we reviewed our scenes and our options for filming them, then set it up. We filmed the scenes for the bridge location in numerical order. We had a lot of issues involving traffic. Cars were constantly passing and making us have to stop. Due to this it took us a lot longer than we expected. It was also pretty hot out which made us sweat a bit. During some of the shots in which my partner was filming me from in front of me, I kept laughing. We had to do a ton of retakes which took a lot of our time. One of my neighbors asked us what we were d
