Bridge Shots
My group decided to do two days of filming. Today, we filmed our bridge shots. The bridge shots covered scenes 4, 6, 7, 9, 11, and 12. The bridge was on the far side of my neighborhood. I was the actor for this project and my partner was the camera man. My partner filmed the shots with his phone. We went to my neighborhood directly after school. It took us about 20 minutes to get there and 15 or so minutes to walk to the bridge. Once we were there, we reviewed our scenes and our options for filming them, then set it up. We filmed the scenes for the bridge location in numerical order. We had a lot of issues involving traffic. Cars were constantly passing and making us have to stop. Due to this it took us a lot longer than we expected. It was also pretty hot out which made us sweat a bit. During some of the shots in which my partner was filming me from in front of me, I kept laughing. We had to do a ton of retakes which took a lot of our time. One of my neighbors asked us what we were doing because we the bridge was right next to his house. We explained to him we were just filming something for school and he let us continue. In all it took us a lot longer to film than we expected but we think we had good results. We'll go over videos we took today the next time we're in class. Tomorrow we're planning on filming the other half of the scenes. They will take place right outside the other side of my neighborhood, next to a railroad.
