Film Review
With my groups film being complete for now, each member asked a friend to review it. Once my group has seen what others think of the film, changes will be made depending on the level of criticism. The criticism my group members receive will be the major determining factor on how the final product looks. My group members plan to ask generally close friends to review the film. This is so they give valuable criticism instead of just saying something like "its good." I asked a classmate from another class to review the film. After watching it a couple times he told me their opinion. First, he said the acting was decent. This is pretty much what my group expected to hear going though. Also, he said the film quality could be better, but he understood that my group only had iPhone cameras. Due to some wind and not having tools that can keep the camera from not wobbling, some small parts of the film got a little shaky. When my group was initially filming there were a lot of retakes due to this so in the end I had to go with clips that were affected the least. This should be okay though because the shakiness doesn't make it so a viewers sight is impaired. Lastly. he said the filter used on the base scenes made them to dark to the point where it was a little hard to see what the actor was doing. Basically, it wasn't to dark to see but the details were somewhat hard to make out. Due to this I will go back to editing these scenes and choose a filter that isn't so dark. There are a good amount of options on iMovie though so this shouldn't be to difficult. The other members of my group mostly got comments on the film quality. However, one group members reviewer said they liked how easily they were able to hear the dialogue. The reviews are really helpful because I'll be able to try to edit any of the problems that were noted. Next, I plan on going through the entire film again and try to see what can be fixed.
