 My group is doing a Gatorade commercial. In most Gatorade commercials we see

  • Athletic Clothing 
  • Gatorade
  • Weights
  • Sports gear and/or equipment
The styles we see in most Gatorade commercials are
  • A lack of dialogue, muted visuals, intense music, and a turning point in the commercials story.
  • The turning point is a result of a character drinking Gatorade.
  • Often shows slogans in relation to self empowerment and motivation such as: "I Can Do Better", "Win From Within", "The Secret To Victory".
  • Typically utilizes a professional or famous athlete .

When it came to choosing music and sound effects my group decided it would be best to either use YouTube or iMovie. Though I could have tried get permission to use music that is usually copyrighted, my group decided against this because it would likely take a long wait. Also, the music my group needed for the clips was very find. After deciding on this my group then chose between YouTube and iMovie to use music from. YouTube has a large array of copyright free music. However, the music, jingles, and sound effects are included with iMovie on a royalty free basis. Also, it is much more efficient to use the iMovie option especially because my group is using iMovie to edit. Due to this my group decided to go with the iMovie option. Screenplay INT. JALEN’S HOUSE - DAY Jalen is sitting at a cluttered desk in his home with several papers on the floor. He is seemingly exhausted while examining a couple pieces of paper. Props are shown across his desk, in his hands, and on the floor. Jalen (voice over) My brother Alex, who I am very close to, was recently going to meet with me over an important family related topic that affects the both of us. Comparing 9, the Shot, and 9, the full length

What is the take away from the video?   My group acknowledges all the aspects and things needed to make a film. I learned the writing tips, production and post production steps and procedures. I could take away that there are ways to be better prepared for filming then I have before.     What good information did you gather while watching  it?   Budgeting and the resources you have access to will be crucial throughout the entire making of the film. When editing, cut the scenes down until you can't anymore which will shorten the film to just the important parts of it. Preparation is key for a film. However, even if you create a storyboard for the entire film, there still may be changes while making it. Stick to a theme and a tone and let it guide the story. If you do not do so, it will confuse the audience. Lastly, taking care of your cast is important because if you do not have respect them, they may not make it as easy to film.     How do you envision...
